Overview

The Financial Investigations & Dispute Advisory Services Manager will serve as a key member of RSM Financial Investigations & Dispute Advisory Services consulting team taking substantial responsibility in performing business valuations for litigation support and performing analytical and investigative services to attorneys, legal counsel, audit committees, government agencies, regulators, corporate boards, insurance companies, and management of companies. Our Financial Investigations & Dispute Advisory Services has the skills and experience to unravel the puzzles, collect and document the evidence, and perform the detailed analysis, allowing our clients to move forward with the information they need.

Specific Responsibilities Include:

Reviewing and analyzing financial information, accounting records, and tax returns in support of litigation matters

Assisting with litigation discovery on document requests and preparation of interrogatories; analyzing documents and assisting with preparing questions for witnesses

Performing valuation methods and forensic accounting analysis on litigation support engagements

Preparing market and competitive assessments, as well as, industry and market research

Leading investigations related to embezzlement, whistleblower, financial reporting fraud, Ponzi schemes, health care fraud, fraudulent conveyance, shareholder disputes, and other matters

Analyzing and reconstructing fraudulent transactions, complex transactions, funds tracing, financial statements, etc.

Developing strong relationships with centers of influence and professionals

Assisting in the management of overall client relationships to exceed client satisfaction

Managing the fundamentals (i.e. realization, utilization, accounts receivable, and expenses)

Mentoring, coaching and training staff

Successfully integrate strategy of the firm

 

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or related area of study

CPA

5 – 7 years of experience providing litigation support, investigation, and forensic accounting services; “Big 4” or national consulting firm experience a plus

Proficiency in MS Office and financial modeling

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Ability to meet tight deadlines and work well within a team oriented environment

Flexibility to travel to clients and other RSM offices

Preferred Qualifications:

Oversee multiple business valuation and financial advisory engagements simultaneously

ASA or ABV credential or substantial progress toward achieving

Masters in Business Administration or related field

Proven ability to manage staff on projects of varying sizes, along with a passion for developing and retaining talent

Demonstrated ability to work independently to interface with client management, gather facts, organize data, analyze financial statements and other financial data, and identify relevant issues

Cultivate and maintain positive, productive, and professional relationships with colleagues and clients

Demonstrated industry knowledge and business acumen
