Our client, an industry titan in digital security, is seeking a Director of Compliance. The company offers a software suite of solutions to companies to ensure compliance. It offers fraud protection and many other cool features.

You will be the go-person for the company. It’s relatively straight forward. They need you to make sure that everything is functioning and running smoothly. If there’s an issue, you’ll jump in to work things out.

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

  • Instill a culture of compliance by leading a strong compliance team
  • Partner with product development from the onset to provide oversight and ensure business is within regulatory standard methodologies
  • Coordinate compliance activities across the Group
  • Develop and maintain a high-performance culture and lead a highly effective compliance function
  • Build career-development opportunities for compliance team members—establish, identify and accelerate a talent pipeline
  • Oversight of multifaceted compliance obligations and regulatory requirements of the business
  • Improve the quality, timeliness, accuracy, relevance, content and format of compliance reporting and prepare and deliver appropriate reports
  • Develop, strengthen, and instill the compliance framework to stay ahead of changing legal and regulatory obligations
  • Respond to alleged violations of rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and standards of conduct by assessing or recommending the commencement of investigative procedures
  • Help the business meet growth targets prudently and identify, evaluate and control compliance related risks prior to material Profit and Loss impact
  • Assess and dispute senior management on key operational and strategic decisions that may have a compliance, reputation or risk implication
  • Collaborate with other key control functions to ensure a robust, effective and streamlined approach to risk management
  • Liaise with regulators as and when required

The company would like you to have the following attributes and experience:


  • Minimum 6 years of relevant experience— 3 years of which should be supporting an FCRA regulated business
  • Strong knowledge of FCRA, GLBA, UDAPP and related laws applicable to consumer reporting agencies
  • Experience with regulatory communications (disputes, complaints, audits, etc)
  • Prior experience of managing a compliance team
  • Demonstrated experience issue spotting and assessing information for risk mitigation


  • Expertise in consumer reporting agencies that are resellers under the FCRA
  • Experience with the CFPB, FTC and state agencies
  • Privacy and data security experience
  • JD or post graduate degree
